We are once again TÜV certified!

Reason to celebrate at activelaw: Our law firm has once again received TÜV certification. But what does that actually mean?

Most of us know TÜV from the regular general inspection for cars. This investigation ensures that only roadworthy cars really move on our roads — for everyone's safety! However, TÜV seals and certificates are not only available for vehicles — real estate, cosmetic products or packaging can also be checked by one of the TÜV holding companies and have their quality confirmed. And there are also TÜV certificates for non-material things — including the quality of companies and their processes.

“ISO 9001” means a standard for quality management systems. This means that anyone who receives this certificate has had their organization and internal processes thoroughly tested. Activelaw received this certificate for the first time in 2008. For us, the certification process meant: So-called audits were carried out at a wide variety of interfaces, through which the TÜV inspectors assessed the quality of our work. How is our mail processed? How are time limits and court dates managed and controlled? And how do we incorporate improvements into our processes?

The certification process took a total of half a year — in return, we are now allowed to carry the TÜV seal for three years. Three years in which we will face new technical, social or labor regulatory challenges — so that activelaw comes “through TÜV” again in 2025!
